Daniel Trimble
Daniel joined the team as the Director of Youth Formation in July of 2025. He has a passion for discipling the next generation of Christ-followers, shepherding and caring for God’s people, and serving the wider parish.
Raised in the South Hills by a Christian family of 11, Daniel spent his whole childhood living in Brookline and crossing tunnels and bridges to attend Allegheny Center Alliance Church. There he met Jess Bennett (at age 3) and was discipled by Josh Bennett. As early as middle school Daniel had a feeling he wanted to serve the church vocationally, and over time recognized that he had a distinct compassion for students.
In 2021 Daniel was sent to Moody Bible Institute by his youth ministers where he studied Bible and theology, and graduated with a degree in Youth Ministry. During his time in Chicago Daniel met his soon to be wife, Meg, bonding over their desire to administer healing to the people of God as a pastor and a counselor respectively. He proposed in February of 2025 shortly before receiving the call to ministry here at Ascension.
Daniel loves to read theology, history, and children’s fiction. His favorite memories often include traveling with friends, experiencing culture or loose-leaf tea. More than anything his deepest love is found in following the person of Jesus, and sharing His light with those around him and he is honored to get to do that here at Ascension.
